First of all, thank you so much for taking time to check out my site. This is the ultimate DIY for me – creating this site and my business from scratch.
While I have a degree in Business with a major in Marketing – the world of Marketing has changed so much when it comes to the digital era and I still sometime feel that I’m learning as I go.
So a bit about me. I’m truly Canadian. I grew up in Manitoba, started my career in Alberta, and then quickly moved to Montreal, Quebec, where I met my husband, started my family and have been since 2006.
I wear a number of hats when it comes to my jobs.
My full time career is a Brand Manager.
My passion is lifestyle blogging, interior design & DIY.
I have my diploma in Interior Design and do take on clients.
Oh, and I’m also a mom…
Balancing can be tough, especially with the girls. Two of them play sports, one has ADHD/Dyslexia and both my husband and I work full time. But we somehow find a way to manage it all, and fit in home projects.
Onto our home. In 2018, we sold our the home we started our family in and had been for 10 years, and moved to a 100 year old home. Moving from a new build to a historic home is quite a change, but we were up for the challenge and love the charm. It was mostly renovated and upgraded, but we have been slowly making it our own since moving, through different renovations. I hope this helps inspire you to bring life to older homes.
One of the biggest things I want to inspire in others, is to love where you live. No home will ever be perfect. All those homes in magazines, while beautifully designed, are usually staged for photos and not the full reality of the space. So give your sanity (and your wallet) a break and be sure to balance form, function & lifestyle. And if you need help with that, you can let me know.
I hope you have enjoyed reading some of this blog so far and hope you come back soon to check out posts on interior design and life in general.
