There is not too much going on today…finally. It’s a rainy day, which means we aren’t by the pool or doing yard work. My toe is still broken which means no running. My youngest has a fever, which means she needs some cuddling. And we’ve been running all week, which means Mommy needs a rest.
While the “To Do” list is long, today my energy is short. And that’s ok. Sometimes we all need a Sunday to be lazy AF.
No, I didn’t go to my daughter’s soccer game at 9 am.
Ya, it’s almost dinner time and I’m still in my pyjamas.
And yes, I will probably also wear them to bed again.
My kids will have a sleepover in the basement too, because its summer vacation and Mommy could care less how cranky they are tomorrow. They’ve been dying for a sisters sleepover in the basement and I’m going to work tomorrow anyways.
Now before you start mom-shaming me on my lack of effort today, let me share with you my week. All the girls were in camp this week that increased our commute time by 30-45 minutes each way. In addition, there was soccer every night this week. So this meant, camp pickup at 5 – McDonalds for dinner (eaten in the car) – only to be carted to soccer upon arrival at home. This family of 5 basically ran until we went to bed every day.
In addition, the weekend weather was terrible for a soccer tournament and we spend the morning yesterday in pouring rain watching my poor daughter’s team lose every game while we all became soaked to the bone. Then we picked up balloons, went home and quickly showered and changed for a 40th birthday party.
So forgive me while I take a day to not to a thing, because we all need it once and a while. And on that note, I’m also excited to share some new projects that I have in the works. I’m working on some collabs as well as some bathrooms and bedrooms. Very exciting stuff coming up. And as soon as I can get my ass in gear (probably later tonight), the closer I will be to sharing them with you.
I hope you all had a chance to take some time (or the full day) to be a bit lazy, weather in your PJs while it rained or outside in beautiful summer weather.
